best direction to go in finding a new sound. Some of those songs do sound more South, such as Meek "Burn" and "Hot nigga," but to me, the speed of the songs is the main thing that makes them different. It doesn't have that 50-75 BPM Bounce, and the tempo itself is more native to the East Coast. The overall atmosphere and sounds used tend to be more traditional to the East as well.
As said before, I doubt any "TRUE" East Coast sound will return. Same way that I don't even see the UGK/Outkast more Soulful, Bassline style sound making a dominant return anytime soon, although it can be incorporated with this modern Trap sound.
