They had a bit more than MJ and Prince, but not too too too much more. I find myself listening to very little music from the 80s. Most of the TV shows named in defense of the decade didn't appeal to me, but there were a couple (HSB, for one).

That said I think the 70s were kind of fluffy and the 90s are looking less favorable to me in hindsight, those they did set a TON of trends that we still see in some form today.
