I was having dinner with my mom and some of her girlfriends.
The topic of these police shootings and race relations came up.
They're all in their early to mid 50's (moms was born in '62)
and they expressed apprehension about things feeling similarly
volatile back in the day.

So, you turn on the TV one morning and martial law has been declared
because a significant domestic attack has been orchestrated and signs
point towards other attacks occurring...

...what's your first course of action?

There really isn't that many of us in this Country. And Far less of us in positions of power to acquire weapons. WE all need to get along for our own good.

Every non-black person in this country isn't going to see that news cast and decide we're the enemy.

But a war prompted by socio-economic disparities in this country undoubtedly will have some racial undertones.

Push comes to shove they can have this place, I'll regroup with the other people who are inclined to return to Africa.

That being said, if it weren't a racial Civil War...it really depends on how it breaks down. TN is a great defensive position and it's centrally located. If My side is near I'm hunkering down and defending.

Staying in the country would depend on
A.) the nature of the attack(s),
B.) who carried them out and
C.) whether we agree with why they were carried out.

My first course of action would be using my savings to relocate as many loved ones to one city as possible.
We'd hunker down with provisions,
combine our assets and suss out A, B, and C.

why? cause that's where my brother in law lives and he knows how to hunt, fish and live off the land.

and what's funny is my BIL is white... so I would be running to the white man. Smh...


but this is part of the problem. I don't know any Black men who know how all that outdoorsy shit.

Next time he asked me to hunt or camp out in doing it because I don't want my Fam looking at me like "save us" and I'm like... "how"

initially head to MA where my family is if i could, if not, i'm stealing someones boat and heading out, maybe all the way up to MA, if we couldn't we'd go south, somewhere in the Caribbean perhaps.

I gotta conquer my fear of open water/the ocean tho.

Wouldn't be all that safe if I croak from a heart attack :-/

however, i've never done any offshore/open ocean type stuff, so navigation might be an issue, but i'd still go for it.

Canada has brutal winters though. Like, if you ain't accustomed and know how to keep warm you-gone-die-brutal.

so yeah the trade off is those rough conditions, but I'll take piercing cold winds over a jackboot on my neck any day.

but the more I think about this the best plan is for us to head east to the coast.

my wife is from a port town. we would all meet up and bunker down.
