12868062, How often do you eat at Chipotle every week? Posted by Starks dunked on Bulls, Thu Jul-30-15 06:48 PM
And whats your favorite go-to order?
After years of hating, I've jumped on the bandwagon.
I eat it like 2-3 per week. Chicken Rice Bowl. It cost $9 bucks but I know it should be $6.
|
12868068, 1x/week. Posted by SoWhat, Thu Jul-30-15 06:54 PM
chicken or barbacoa burrito or bowl. brown rice. both beans. all 4 salsas. cheese and lettuce.
my burrito is large. i don't like it when they skimp on the beans or the rice b/c the employees are afraid of my burrito. they scared it's gonna tear the tortilla. i almost challenge them to put a whole spoon of rice and whole spoons of both beans in there. and more salsa. and extra lettuce. most of the employees wrap the thing like they're scared of it. it often rips and i don't have them bother w/double-wrapping or dumping all of that stuff in a new tortilla - i can take it a little ripped. it's fine w/me.
i only eat there 1x/week now b/c it's so far from my office. i can usually only convince a coworker to drive me out there once per week. i'd go more often if it were nearby. and, of course, if there were a better burrito offered by any other joint i'd eat there and never have Chipotle again. but i can't find a better tasting, more filling burrito anywhere in the area. and if i had other lunch options that leave me full and satisfied for $7 i'd be all over that too.

12868077, Their burritos are cold, meh. Have you tried Qdoba yet? Posted by Starks dunked on Bulls, Thu Jul-30-15 07:17 PM

12868079, i cannot stand Qdoba. Posted by SoWhat, Thu Jul-30-15 07:19 PM
i've eaten there many times. i'd rather have a 7 layer burrito from Taco Bell than anything @ Qdoba.

12868084, You eat there every week, but how often every week? Posted by Ted Gee Seal, Thu Jul-30-15 07:32 PM
Seems pretty clear to me.
|
12868114, and if I don't eat there every week? Posted by Hitokiri, Thu Jul-30-15 08:35 PM
it's horribly worded.

12868121, ...then don't answer the question. Posted by SoWhat, Thu Jul-30-15 08:58 PM
|
12868328, No, you crunch the numbers and give a decimal point answer. Posted by Teknontheou, Fri Jul-31-15 08:58 AM
So for me, I might eat there 6 or 7 times a year. So my answer would .1346 times per week.

Chicken burrito with brown rice, black beans, mild, guac, and lettuce is my standard order. Occasionally I'll go with sour cream and cheese instead of guac.

But I live in an area with all sorts of ill Mexican food
When I do I get two or three steak tacos and call it a day.
|
12868635, see my thing is i dont go there when i want mexican food Posted by GriftyMcgrift, Fri Jul-31-15 12:14 PM
because i dont equate grilled meat, rice and beans as "mexican" food
its just food and its not greasy and bad for me
|
12870100, eh there are better options for that too IMO Posted by ConcreteCharlie, Mon Aug-03-15 11:28 AM
it's not disgustingly greasy (though King Taco is and that shit amazing, B) but it's not good either. it's just dry, sparsely portioned chunks of meat and garden-variety veggies.

12868346, 2x a week on average Posted by Deebot, Fri Jul-31-15 09:14 AM
there's one literally two minutes from my place. I'm not the biggest fan, they are overpriced (double barbacoa bowl was $11.23) and a cheap company (many workers are stingy with the meat portions because they're told to be), but it's the best fast food option without getting fat. I get bowls, not burritos.

12868538, Used to be once a week when I worked downtown Posted by sectachrome86, Fri Jul-31-15 11:10 AM
Chipotle one day, Illegal Petes (a local and superior burrito joint) another day to mix it up.
Now though probably once every 2 weeks.
Chicken burrito (Barbacoa or steak if I need a change. Their carnitas is wack) black beans white rice pico sour cream cheese corn
And now I'm getting Chipotle tonight.

12868547, Once or twice a week. Chicken burrito bowl Posted by Ishwip, Fri Jul-31-15 11:16 AM
Brown rice, black beans, sometimes cheese, eff vegetables. I used to like it with sour cream, but it overpowered every other flavor in the bowl so I stopped.

12868606, I have not been inside a Chipotle since 2007. and it was underwhelming. Posted by Nodima, Fri Jul-31-15 11:51 AM
it was first weekend of freshman year of college and everyone at the orientation outdoor picnic got one free chipotle wrap or whatever, so I went and waiting in a line that stretched all through downtown and probably waited about an hour and a half for this thing, took a bite and was neither impressed nor disappointed. it was just food.

but chiptole has fallen off in my opinion it was the shit like 5 to 6 years but like in the last 2 years they've fallen off some kind of hard to me
but what i get when i go every once and a blue moon is this
chicken bowl or chicken burrito
- black beans - white rice - corn salsa - salsa verde - sour cream - lettuce only if it looks fresh!
and sometimes i get guacamole
and if i don't get the chicken bowl or burrito, then i get a veggie bowl or burrito the same way i get my chicken order only without the chicken of course lol

12869939, I rarely eat at Chipotle Posted by BabyYoda, Mon Aug-03-15 09:09 AM
I don't like the fact that they serve lukewarm to cold food. I like my food served to me hot or close to it. They items are pricy and they put too much condiments on my tacos and not enough meat. Rather go to El Pollo Loco or Juan Pollo.
|
12870055, lukewarm to cold? Posted by SoWhat, Mon Aug-03-15 10:45 AM
where dey do dat at?
|
12870078, The one near my job Posted by BabyYoda, Mon Aug-03-15 11:10 AM
Every time I went to Chipotle, my food was either ice cold or severely lukewarm to cold. To me, that is a deal breaker.
|
12870080, i've never had that happen. Posted by SoWhat, Mon Aug-03-15 11:12 AM
largely b/c the food is prepared right in front of me and scooped out of heating dishes....
but as i said below i also tend to eat there during the lunch rush when there's regular turn-over of food. it's not uncommon for the meat and/or rice to go right from the kitchen to my burrito.
|
12870077, that's why i rarely eat in the restaurant. but i'll get it and take it home Posted by MrThomas43423, Mon Aug-03-15 11:09 AM
throw it in the microwave for like 1:30 and let the cheese get all ooey and gooey, and then it's piping hot and perfect. --------------------------------------- it's true what they say...people are strange, when you're strangers.
not compassionate....only polite.
I am not like you at all and i cannot pretend.
|
12870079, i only go at lunch rush Posted by SoWhat, Mon Aug-03-15 11:11 AM
so the food is always hot since there's so much business then. i guess that's why i'm puzzled to hear about Chipotle serving lukewarm food.
|
12870048, Per week? I'm old school cheap. once a month or so. Posted by Lach, Mon Aug-03-15 10:39 AM
I don't believe in eating out that often for that kind of food.
|
12870072, not every week anymore Posted by lfresh, Mon Aug-03-15 11:06 AM
since the job moved
so when the weather is decent i take the walk up about 8-10 blocks
i'm more likely to cop dinner from the taco truck by the house on the way home now

12870114, PS - if you're going to Chipotle for Mexican food, you're doin it wrong. Posted by Wonderl33t, Mon Aug-03-15 11:39 AM
Chipotle is cooked meat with fresh ingredients in a tortilla...it's not trying to be Mexican food. IMO it should not be judged as such. I know the slogan is Mexican grill. They know and everyone else knows it's not Mexican food. ______________________________ http://i.imgur.com/81XSukd.jpg <-- Happy trails
