i still wouldn't necessarily be likely to pick up random calls but i'd be on top of listening to voicemail.

and if i am dating a dude who is as freaky about this issue as y'all i'd work on him to help him calm the fuck down about it. and he'd work on me to have a less-defined sense of urgency and panic and hand-wringing. we'd meet in the middle, or one of us would change or we'd break up. lol.
