It's like the talent of singing doesn't fit with the lack of maturity in the lyrics.
Pretty much the same reason it's funny when Ben Folds sings "Bitches Ain't Shit"
or Richard Cheese sings Snoop songs.
Shit just don't go together. Only difference is mainstream R&B cats today are serious about it.
It's literally a joke.
