I'm thinking about joining at some point in the future.

working from home is wack.

and benefits and discounts?

I'm sold but its expensive.

i went to a tour of the space in chinatown dc and thought it would really help me be more productive, but I'm not sure if thats a novelty thing or what.

public libraries aren't sexy enough to stimulate you to do sexy work, lol.

I'm sure there is plenty of networking going on among ppl who come through on a regular basis. and it really is inspiring to be around ppl who are doing the same thing as you are.

besides, if you work with multiple monitors like i do, its easier to leave it at the space than having to go back and forth.

also they have discounts that you can't get as a regular freelancer.
12828396, i work out of one a couple times a week.

I dunno... I think the networking aspect is oversold -- most people are really in their respective officles (yes, officles), head down, getting work done. I think if better/more networking is the objective, I'm not sure We Work is the answer. My opinion is We Work is a way for small businesses, creatives, and freelancers/consultants to get affordable office space, access to resources, with the upside of some networking...

I've spent a total of one day at a WeWork since then.

And it was this past February, at a brand new space in Medellin, Colombia, 5 minutes away from where I was living then.

13434939, apparently they're still trying to make it work in certain areas, I know...
Posted by ThaTruth, Wed Jun-09-21 07:57 PM
someone that still currently works for them
