as well.
i'm not accusing Akon of this as i have no idea, i'm just saying that it could definitely still be a way to fatten pockets.

12820880, I think he is scamming or being scammed Posted by dafriquan, Wed Jun-03-15 10:44 AM
But I have not studied the mechanics of the scam.

12820980, too early for anyone to proclaim him any kind of savior Posted by woe.is.me., Wed Jun-03-15 11:21 AM
if a recall, i heard a long time ago that he bought/owned a diamond mine. i have no idea if that's true, or if that is even a bad thing. but i've always been a bit skeptical.
on its face, this sounds like a good thing, but i think people are jumping the gun. the school isn't even built yet.
in general, us africans require a pretty high burden of proof before we believe one of our own has pure intentions.

Well, shit...
"I don't even believe in conflict diamonds," he announces. "That's just a movie. Think about it. Ain't nobody thought about nothing about no conflict diamonds until the movie came out. Where was all that shit before the movie?"
Well, shiiiiiit...
