to address a woman who has a penis. but she suffers when he uses a masculine pronoun. she suffers due to the cumulative impact of all of the b/s she deals with from the world around her simply b/c she's trying to live her life. he's adding to her pain. referring to her as 'she' doesn't hurt him and it can help her even a tiny little bit. there's no good reason to use a masculine pronoun - except to be an asshole. if one wants to own one's assholishness then that's a different story. but it can't be cloaked w/'logic' or 'reason' b/c that's not what it's about.
