Ray Rice's Domestic Violence Charges Have Been Dismissed

Former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice's charges have been dismissed and he will avoid doing any jail time stemming from the incident last February in which he struck and knocked unconscious his now-wife, Janay Rice.

After completing his pre-trial intervention program, an Atlantic City Judge Michael Donio on Thursday signed Rice's dismissal order for the aggravated assault felony charges, a statement from Donio's office said.

It added that judge this morning dismissal order and recommendation from the prosecutor to sign the order after Rice completed all terms and conditions of the program.

After a second surveillance video of the violent altercation at a Atlantic City casino was published by TMZ in September, Rice, who was initially suspended for just two games, was released by the Baltimore Ravens and suspended indefinitely by the NFL. Rice won an appeal of that suspension in November, however, he remains unsigned by any team in the league.

And sad truth about all the "celebration" with Ray Rice getting off with no punishment
is we have been beaten down and push to such desperation
we will eagerly and willingly "sacrifice" the black woman

Considering the amount of violence against women in the bible it figures you would be happy about this kinda shit.. There's just the terrible initial events. Everything else is just updates.

One of them takes the matter too far and commits an act that he's deeply sorry for. His wife forgives him for his actions, he forgives his wife for her actions. Both take responsibility for their actions. The man goes to jail, he enters into a program to help him with any underlying issues and it will help him to avoid jail time. He completes the program. At the same time the man goes on a talk show and exposes his issues, at the same time he's fired from his job, and at the same time his wife and family stands by his side. In the end the man is now a better human being, husband and family member.

Yet, this place can still find fault in the matter. GTHOHWTBS

couldn't tell you what an appropriate timeframe is but I thoroughly believe that the kind of attitude that would justify his actions to himself in the moment is not something you can wash away with a few words and weeks.. or even within a year or two... as someone who has anger management issues of his own this is not entirely an unqualified opinion.

and as for the forgiveness aspect.. if we let every wifebeater who gets "forgiveness" from their victim off the hook.. it'd probably be most of them.. and sadly I think it probably is much higher than it should be already because of this kind of attitude about the crime...
