Deal with the suspension but don't drag this out any further. It's a distraction.

if ppl stop talking about this, it will still be recalled everytime this last superbowl win comes up, mentally or verbally
12801644, the rep may suffer slightly but the wins remain.

which is why i think homie should just get it over with and fall on the sword so this can be swept under the rug and off the media's radar ASAP. w/the NBA and NHL playoffs at full-steam and the NFL gearing up for pre-season camps it's a good time for him to hold a press conference and answer some questions so this is done. if he waits until reporters are talking about the NFL (after NBA and NHL seasons end and NFL camps start) the story could drag on.

this'll probably mean fewer endorsement deals and whatnot going forward but maybe it won't.
12801643, if all he did was instruct them to go from 16 psi down to 13

then he should stick to his guns. I know Brady doesn't have many deep threats but a ball THAT deflated isn't really that good for a quarterback.

You can see evidence of this in the 2nd half of the AFC Championship Game and the Super Bowl. He Basically had like 8 TDs and 2 picks with properly inflated and inspected footballs.

I'm not a Brady stan by ANY measure, but he may have a legit beef that the only evidence they have are for him requesting deflated balls within the approved range.

End of the day, it aint that big of a deal. Should only be a fine at most.

12801646, i read about a possible/inevitable suspension.

Just because it was the divisional championship game.
If it occurred during the regular season, they probably wouldn't do anything to him. But because it occurred on the road to the Super Bowl, Goddell may fine/suspend Brady just because.

I also think it's funny that the difference in the weight wasn't discovered till the Pats were picked off at 14-0. Then the team went on to say, it was due to "environmental factors." LOL

He'll find a way to say it's a common practice AND say he didn't do it.
