I was at a function the other week...a casino night party in Atlanta. $25 cover, good amount of people, everyone dressed to the nines. 27-30+ year old Black professional crowd. The DJ literally killed what could have been a great party. He was DJ'ing like he was spinning a 17 year old birthday party or some hole in the wall on the Southside. I wanted to tell him to play some fly shit, but chilled for some of the reasons you state. But no one was dancing and people started walking out. The party was supposed to go until 2a, but at midnight they packed the tables up and told everyone to go to Gold Room.
