--------------

Current Rappers need to do whole songs of shout outs like I grew up with in the late 80's and 90's.

Remember how Kane used to close out albums with a whole song which was essentially him damn near reading credits? I need that in my life.

Hell I'd settle for a Kanye "Last Call" right now. I am in full hip hop nostalgia mode right now.

--------------------

Allergies

My eyes are all types of swollen. I spent way too much time outside this weekend. My son enjoyed himself though, so it was all worth it.

-------------------
In Effect Mode

On one of our many outings this past weekend my son got in the car and asked " Can we listen to that Al B Sure dude again?"

I popped in the CD and he skipped straight to "Naturally Mine"

I love this kid.

------------------
Bizarre ride to the Pharcyde

I'm moving in less than a month.
I haven't a place nor have I began packing.
Yet, I feel no pressure.

-----------------
Water water everywhere.

I'm drinking a gallon+ of water per day.
My skin is glowing. I look fierce and that girth? good god almighty. I feel sorry for the recipient of the receiving end of this thang here. LOL

ha. i forgot about shit like that.

congolese artists do this on every song. it's called mabanga (which literally means stones) but basically people pay money to have artists mention their names in songs. if you have big bucks you can have an artist sing a whole song about you.
some people say its destroying the music bc whole verses will just be filled with dudes singing and saying people's names but on the other hand without it most times albums wouldn't
get made. record labels don't work the same out there so they kind of depend on it to pay for studio, producers, musicians, etc.

anyway

MYFIVE.

You're in a relationship purgatory. Hopefully it all works out with positive ends.

5. I babysat yesterday from 9am-5pm. OMG! It was taxing to say the least. Finding activities to do for a 2.5 year old isn't hard but, just the small stuff. The spazzing out, the crying, and the constant entertaining. Then a lightbulb came on...this is why you didn't have one of your own. I think I'm good. LOL

4. I went on a movie date with my ex last night. I think he wants to get back but, he's just feeling me out. I do miss him.

3. Being back on the dating scene has me wanting to mush these guys now days. Too soft and needy. I likes my men manly. Not constantly needing reassurance from me for something...anything. I shouldn't feel stronger than a man. When I do, it turns me all the way off.

2. My tax dude is about to get a swift kick in the teeth.

1. I'm dog tired and don't want to be bothered this evening.

i'm not fighting the feeling but, i'm not making it easy. he contact me about breaking up. Not i him. So he has to be the one to initiated. petty? probably but, yeah.

it's not about big tax dollas. it's about this bamma potential not submitting my taxes when he should have.

1) Hot Cheetos
2) Mac & Cheese
3) Nachos
4) Chocolate
5) Hot Wings

I always have crazy craving when I start losing weight. I know this makes no sense but, it feels like as the chemicals (stored in fat) leave my body. My body craves them. UGH!

Another thing that doesn’t makes sense is: I can do cardio three times a day (literally! We had a walking desk at my old job) and not lose a drop of weight. Soon as I start doing sit ups, the weight slides off. I thought cardio was the key to weight loss and sit ups were part of strength building! 2+2 never equals 4 in my life.

I am soo bored at my new job, but it is still better than my last job. My life is on auto survival. I get up and go to work. I try to make it through to the end of the day when I can go home and get back in the bed. Even though I feel less depressed, my actions wouldn't say so. Once I get home, all I have to do is sit still for a few minutes and I am out. I had been going to shows (plays and concerts), but I had to take a break from that. I feel like I am just coasting along with no real purpose, although I am grateful not to have any drama.

12779511, although boring, a drama free life is truly grand.

12779450, Have you tired immunotherapy for your allergies?
Posted by Very-Effortless, Mon Apr-13-15 11:55 AM
I'm switching from shots to the drops that go under your tongue (mostly because my travel schedule made it hard for me to get in for my shots every week). I also have the flonase, zyrtec and visine allergy eyes on deck and do a nasal wash every morning. I'm hoping this season is easier for me.

My five:
1. I actually JUST left the ENT this morning. We reviewed my CT scans and her referred me out for surgery. He was looking at my CT scan and asked "Did you ever break your nose?" No. "You sure? Cause usually when someone has a spur that bad and a septum that crooked they had a break at some point." I had to call my mom and ask. Nope, I never broke it... it's just genetically screwy.

2. Been running outside in the morning training for a 5K. Generally, it's been a great way to start the day. I'm just hoping the pending aforementioned pollen season doesn't put a damper on it.

3. I made this sandwich Sunday after my run: https://instagram.com/p/1YWO4uyqOB/

4. my deadlift form has reached it's peak. Time to start adding on weight!

5. I'm still kinda sore from lifting Saturday and I have another session tonight. Jesus be salonpas.

Flonase is a wonder drug. I hate that it's OTC now because instead of paying $7 (co-pay) for it, i gotta pay that full over the counter price.

As someone who loves to deadlift I feel your pain. And now I wanna cry because I gotta leave the bar alone for 7-10 whole days!
12779476, your son has great taste
Posted by latenitemix, Mon Apr-13-15 12:15 PM
but tell him "just a taste of lovin'" is the best cut off that album :D

my five:

1 - one of my favorite restaurants is closing indefinitely this saturday. i only found out last week and i've been there twice already. i'm trying to squeeze in one more time before saturday but after my last challenge weigh-in on wednesday.

2 - i did one of those wine and paint things yesterday and it was so much fun! they only give you two hours and the instructor was kind of rushing us along so i wish we had more time. already told the bf we're going for a date night. maybe we'll make it double date night if the homies are interested. AND i found out this morning that we're going for my bff's bday.

3 - i like my haircut a lot but i swear i can get the same thing from a regular barber for much less. the task is just to find a barber. it's a daunting one for me. one of my cousins cuts hair but he has substance abuse issues so i'd want someone a little more reliable.

4 - at dinner last night someone mentioned "omg tia ordered a hamburger!" lol. i didn't realize the impression i was giving being so neurotic about my food when we go out. but y'all know i eats! i still got teased for only eating half the burger. it was big though and i was full from the fries and the wine, cheese, crackers and cookie i had earlier.

5 - i was so excited about game of thrones last night i completely forgot about mad men. oops.

Years ago, I used to watch Mad Men with Karrine Stefans (yes, that Karrine). She and I would wait for the recap to come on at like 2 am and then we'd tweet each other about what was going on.

1. Injuries are a b@tch! No CrossFit or running for 7-10 days via my doctor. This dude had the nerve to tell me that I need to see a Chriopractor and he gave me some antiinflammitories and muscle relaxers. Bum knee and rotator cuff injuries got me sitting on the side lines while everyone else is lifting big weight. I'm truly miffed.

2. With that said, I now understand why there are preachers out there saying that yoga pants are the devil. All that squatting got the booty looking nice and perky in yoga pants 😉. I'm gonna have to do the sweatshirt wrap around when I go out in public in my workout clothes. The stares were a lil creepy.

3. The munchkin has become addicted to the potty. GOD bless her! Actually, she just likes playing in the water after sitting on the potty. But, whatever works 😂

4. I have been easing Canada Dry cranberry ginger ale back into my diet for the past couple of weeks and now thanks to my doctor, I gotta ease that shit back out. But it taste soooooo good! Water it is, Bitches!

5. My dad gets here on Friday to bring my daughter's pimped out tricycle to her. It's a straight up purplish pink low rider. She's going to be rolling around here like she's the coolest thing on 3 wheels. LOL! Grandparents in the house means spoiled munchkin and family pictures 😀.
