Yea the Brienne story has been gutted from the book and is pretty meh at the moment, seems like filler at this stage, IMHO. Sucks they decided to omit the one character from the book everyone was hoping to see. That omission hollows out Brienne's story bigtime, though perhaps they will step it it up with the next few episodes.
