This is from years of observation and waiting/hoping the oldie stations (in Florida and Atlanta) would play some classic Motown. Maybe they're better in your market.

my mom's african card was revoked for not knowing how to braid back in '79 when my older sister was born. and she passed on her not knowing how to braid ass genes right on down to my older sister and me.

Now I feel better... Although my mom can cornrow, she doesn't know how to do any fashion stuff. Her cornrows always come out like stitches, so tight, uneven and ugly.

That's not being snarky either. A large number of early to mid 20th century leaders went to HBCUs. You'd at least hear the name of the schools when you read their bios.

I didn't have any african studies in schools but thinking about it now we learned about the revolutionaries. I have heard of Howard university which I believe is a black college so yes I actually can name one. I stand corrected.

I was going to say I have more white friends than black friends

since I've become a dad, I dont have friends. FUCK.

I got one boy and we been tight since 2000, but the main reason we still tight is cause he a dad too and his wife and my wife like each other a lot.

I just never cared for neither, now I will drink grape soda if I was really really in the mood for soda and grape was the only flavor available but most of the the time I'll just pass all together.

As far as chocolate ice cream go, I never cared for it, but I love chocolate milk, go figure; anyways just a few months ago I was in the mood for a frosty from Wendys and went to the closet to my job as I was getting off and they only had chocolate, so I went to two other locations until I found one that had vanilla.

After I got home, I said to myself, shit I could've just went to the grocery store, bought some vanilla ice cream, and made my own frosty, lol.

I don't know anyone Black that prefers chocolate ice cream
