I never gave much thought to the gay community and touch and it affecting them
One thing to think about though is just American culture in general isn't the most touchy feeling And African Americans Maybe it's my dads side of the family but a few years ago we decided to make a conscious effort because we realized we barely hugged each other And since we were so out of practice it was awkward at first Ironically my dad always made it a point to hug Maybe he realized this I don't know
Fir me I avoided it and work on it Because my mom was and IS touchy feely and the apt I grew up in is narrow And looking back she got a huge kick out of my skittishness I swear the woman was always tryna hug me to the pont I know I hurt her feelings quite a few times
Anyways my question is what are the racial and ethnic mixes of your circles? Is there a difference in touch and comfort level?
