on something that by its nature - will elicit a wide variety of opinions?
I mean I get that people are all hype about the anti "new black" opinions of kanye, common, skateboard etc... but to try and marginalize or say that it is not a legitimate opinion would seem to suggest that there *is* an acceptable monolithic opinion that must always be espoused, and when anyone strays from that alleged consensus, they must be punished w/ collective outrage.
Is that productive?
