12764302, I surely did as a youth, but not as much now

I grew up in a way that was hard to walk a fine line. Went to Private schools that were maybe 20% Black, yet those Blacks were all from Black neighborhoods just like I was. And I had semi-strict educated parents...so it felt like I had to please too many different people.

I felt like I had to be hood enough to not be bothered by the Blacks, because they would strike ANYONE who seemed to be a target. Whether I'm at Fox Hills and it's gangbangers eyeing me bc of my attire, or it's Blacks from Ladera Heights at school judging the shoes I wore. Yet, had to be "smart enough" to prove to the White kids that I was as smart as them, and smarter...and that I wasn't just a hood kid or athlete that was able to cheat my way through.
