I've unfortunately seen "stereotypically" gay men at my job taken less seriously for exhibiting those qualities by some. there are gay Blk men in leadership positions at my job (I'm one of them) and some are very noticeably gay but at the same time I've heard comments about them or seem them somewhat dismissed ( not only by Blk higher ups, but Wht ones too). However one of the very high up Blk guys is noticibly gay IMO and he's a shot caller

I don't kno about having to say u like beer or sports or anything to have to get ahead but being assertive and confident definitely helps. Those aren't exclusively make traits to me tho.
