Something I've noticed is that gay black men seem to be more...i dunno, free? You would think having to deal with being black AND gay in a heternormative society would be a burden..but nah. All the gay black men I've seen in LA seem real content.

I think Black America has a pretty conservative and limiting ideal of manhood, which places constrictions on what we can do, enjoy, where we can go, what music we can like, etc.

Black gay men are free from that, which must be pretty fucking liberating.
