I was watching this at 3am and man this is a fantastic video.
12752512, Hard to believe he was only 18 when he started.

Amazing fighter
12752572, mike was/is built like a human pitbull. Why no one mentions his

powerful uppercuts is beyond me....

12752583, his speed and precision though
Posted by initiationofplato, Mon Mar-16-15 10:10 AM
he lands 3 punches before someone can throw a counter, it's unreal
12752661, his uppercuts are talked about
Posted by RobOne4, Mon Mar-16-15 10:44 AM
he damn near decapitated many opponents with that punch. I always thought his defense was under appreciated.
12752582, He was KOing grown ass men like every 2 months as an 18 yo

Like I knew how ill he was in the beginning, but never got to see it.
12752586, yeah, laying them out in the first round, haha
Posted by initiationofplato, Mon Mar-16-15 10:10 AM
i haven't seen these before either and i'm wide eyed
12752592, yeah that was back when muhphuckas fought 8-10 fights a year...now
Posted by Fishgrease, Mon Mar-16-15 10:12 AM
we're lucky is folks fight 10 fights in a career.
12752604, If Cus D'Amato lives to 90 (approx 1998 or so) what does Tyson's career...

look like?

I think he retires unbeaten.

Holyfield, Lewis, esp. Buster Douglas don't come close to beating focused Mike Tyson, IMO.

I think if he stuck w/ Rooney, he probably would have not lost.

Fucking Don King, man.
12752677, Yeah, Rooney wouldve had him remain focused...he chased the

dollar and ended up losing those dollars and more.

I do like the humbled man that Mike is today though.
12752684, yup. in the right mental state (with his mentor/father figure in his corner)

tyson would have had an unbeatable streak.

12752823, He had no heart. Somebody was eventually going to touch him

12752627, The Marvis Frazier fight, jesus christ
Posted by initiationofplato, Mon Mar-16-15 10:26 AM
30 seconds, Frazier got knocked out 2 more times as he was falling.
12752645, wow. he went 15-0 in ten months time.

12752688, The 1st one is more like a surrender lol

I still can't believe Jamie is playing Mike. He's a capable actor, just hard to imagine him playing young Mike. Once he packs on the muscle, it might be easier to imagine.
12752805, I see it, I think its the perfect casting
Posted by initiationofplato, Mon Mar-16-15 12:22 PM
12752888, it's mostly the age and I believe Jamie can play a younger man
Posted by Grand_Royal, Mon Mar-16-15 01:10 PM
It's just Mike was a very young champion at his peak and I'm wondering how they will pull that off.
12752868, Nintendo got it right....

If you got past Round 1, your chances of beating or drawing with that man jumped up like 60%

in real life, if you got past round 4, then your chances jumped 60% as well.
