1. No cop was shot back when protests were really hot this past summer.

2. Local police response to those protests alleged to be heavy handed and possibly unconstitutional (by DOJ, I think).

6. Shot officers were hit by graze wounds, basically. Pretty convenient - officers shot but their lives were not endangered.

7. Within hours/minutes police know the 2 officers were the targets.

8. The officers weren't even Ferguson PD.

9. This confirms all of the local police concerns in a way that doesn't hurt the police department of the officers who were shot. It's too convenient.
