depends on what you are looking for. Kids? Plan on living in Oakton? Go to DC a lot? Cost of living is going to be expensive. If you are looking to buy you are probably not going to spend less than 300K anywhere in the area and if looking for SFR i would expect something in the 500K range. If renting it depends on what you need as far as amenities are concerned. Oakton is kind of a weird enclave between Vienna, Reston and Fairfax.
