12739691, I'm new to eating Yogurt. What's your favorite flavor? Posted by Case_One, Mon Mar-02-15 02:39 PM
I use to hate yogurt, but I recently had this Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt (Lemon Meringue and Apple Pie flavored) and I fell in love with this stuff.
I hate that Chobani band Fruit on the Bottom mess.

Honey is also good. I like the flavor of passion fruit but not the seeds. I wish they would make a guava one or a straight strawberry (as it is they make strawberry rhubarb, which is weird).

it's really not that hard to cut up some fresh fruit and fold it into yogurt
i.e., is that shit on the bottom of yogurt even really fruit?

i put granola in the vanilla and cranberries

12739946, Just plain vanilla... Posted by Jakob Hellberg, Mon Mar-02-15 04:22 PM
I especially like if they actually use REAL vanilla. Since I don't eat fruit or berries, those youghurts have never appealed to me...
|
12740025, you... don't... eat fruit? Posted by Hitokiri, Mon Mar-02-15 05:09 PM
Wut?

12740045, Yo... you can't just say "I don't eat fruit or berries" without an Posted by micMajestic, Mon Mar-02-15 05:36 PM

explanation as to why. I mean you don't owe me anything personally, but honestly I've never heard those words uttered in my entire life.

12740056, LOL, OK... Posted by Jakob Hellberg, Mon Mar-02-15 05:46 PM
When I was a kid, all I ate was mashed b*n*n*s. I also ate a lot of other fruits and berries; there are gazillion of pictures of me with my hands in a can of strawberry jam and-ESPECIALLY!-mashed b*n*n* all over my face.
This led to a backlash I guess, to this day, I can't even be in the same room with someone eating a b*n*n* without feeling at least a little sick. Most other fruitsI can't deal with either even if oranges, lemons (I have no beef with lemon or lime but that's a different thing) and pineapple aren't too offensive. I am also a big fan of the drink Sprite but, again, it's not "offesnively" fruity...
As for berries, it's not on the same level of disgust but I rather not eat them...
Useless bonus-trivia:I refused to buy Velvet Underground's classic debut on the strength of the cover even if I KNEW I liked the music. I finally bought it when I found some cheap euro-reissue with a different cover.
I never bought that Isaac Hayes-album "Juicy Fruit" either in spite of being a fan; still, that one is past his prime so it's not a big deal...
|
12740061, Yo, you don't like pineapple? Posted by Case_One, Mon Mar-02-15 05:51 PM
Nah.. You ain't just imply that...LOL

12740064, I can eat that... Posted by Jakob Hellberg, Mon Mar-02-15 05:54 PM
Sometimes, it appears in asian cooking and it's not like I spit it out but still, I rather don't... I think my biggest issue with it is the "fruity" texture really, not so much the taste which is pretty good unlike other fruits, same with orange...
|
12740069, Yeah, texture can ruin a lot for me too. Posted by Case_One, Mon Mar-02-15 05:57 PM

12740022, I just but the large container of fage plain Posted by brownskinbaby, Mon Mar-02-15 05:08 PM
I make little baggies of blueberries and granola to sprinkle on top and use small wide mouth mason jars and stack them up in thr fridge so i cam just grab and go in the mornings. I also ise plain greek yogurt as a substiute for sour cream and to replace the cream in most recipes that call for cream or milk. Its an aquired taste, but once you get use to it you'll enjoy it.

these guys out. I've had a few really good flavors, but like SPM said, the sugar content in a lot of these is on the high side.

They sell em at most Krogers on the north side, Whole Foods and Fresh Market too.
