back in 2007 or 2008
when I was in college, I used to smoke
It was dusk, the sun had set but there was still light out.
The smokers would hang out front all the time.
Its me and like 4 other people and there is a lady who looks a lot like Miranda July.
I smoke, wait a beat and then look again, I realized it was her.
I wait another beat and then when I tried to be sure I saw that she ran back inside and was looking right at me with her big eyes behind a glass door.
It was her whole awkward energy that fucked with me.
