12732976, Disturbing the gender binary; what is then attractive?

http://groundswell.org/gender-fluidity/

I can easily imagine us as a species going off into a new area where traditional gender identifiers become smudged. When I say "imagine" I do not mean to say that I wish for it to happen, nor do I feel negatively towards the idea....if anything I see it as something generations after myself will take on. The gender binary will still exist but it will morph into some other concept that will make perfect sense for the time.

However before we get there I imagine a lot of growing pains

So I wonder what will become of the idea of what is sexy*

Right now women are going ape shit for the man bun. Its pushing the envelope of what is considered masculine vs. feminine.

Also, is there is something happening the other way for men in view of women?

I guess what got me thinking about this was thinking about a scenario in the future where a bunch of dudes are talking about how so and so is so sexy...like, what would the beauty ideal of future be?

*not exclusively under the male gaze.

edit for the doomsday (no names) folks: THE WORLD IS ENDING, LADIES ARE WEARING PANTS! PANTS!

and it's just another style for men with longish hair to wear, and longish hair has always been sexy too.

Anyway, some women do prefer more feminine men. My bff used to get all those women, lol.
They're usually into more alternative stuff -- goth, death rock, etc.

I definitely prefer more masculine. The more rugged, the better (but refined, please).
I even prefer to dress more masculine myself.

But I can't say anything about women. I still don't totally understand what men like.
