12733141, you fell for the media spin...

..marshawn lynch doesn't have a rep as bein' "difficult to work with."

while the media has exaggerated his reluctance to give interviews, his rep as a player (on the field & off) are stellar. he's the consummate team player, shows up for work on time & prepared, and all of his peers regard him as one of the best players in the league. even the media admits that while he's reluctant, their interaction with him is always professional & polite. he has never been a disruption to them or his peers/employers.

*anyone trying to compare his situation to mo'nique's clearly doesn't understand the significant differences & details involved with their particular line of work in entertainment. one of the major differences is that the media coverage for each is that while the media is always digging for dirt, press coverage for film isn't typically divisive & disruptive.

every nfl contract has a stipulation that requires a certain amount of time allotted for press. while both industries employ a considerable amount of pr/media to sell tickets, actors aren't always required to do so.

mo'nique, on the other hand, has never had a stellar rep. her personality hasn't endeared her to anyone (peers or media) outside of her inner circle. she's known as being difficult to work with for EVERYONE, including her fellow cast/directors/producers.

its one thing to have the press disappointed at being denied an opportunity to interview you with a ton of redundant questions, but its something entirely different when most of your peers dread having you on set because of the constant drama that comes along with working with you. mo'nique made a name for herself as bein' funny, yet difficult. unfortunately, she's become so difficult that most entertainment professionals avoid working with her because they don't think its worth it overall.

and this is in a business that has a long history of difficult characters & personalities (men AND women). so if she's not gettin' work because of her terrible attitude/demeanor, its far more likely that she's simply burned too many bridges or caused too many issues to be considered valuable to production.
