in Murphy's prime? Cool to see that Eddie took the high road though.

12731137, glad Norm seems to understand & respect why Eddie didn't do it
Posted by Calico, Thu Feb-19-15 09:02 AM
and people DO keep forgetting that Eddie KNOWS he doesn't need the laughs anymore...
12731143, I respect this rapist too much to mock him. I dig it

12731172, or maybe he just doesn't think it's his place to comment/mock
Posted by gumz, Thu Feb-19-15 09:21 AM
it's not like he'd be making some grand statement about rape...it would have been for a cheap laugh. i like that he removed himself from it.
12731145, Funny thing

is that this puts Keenan Thompson in a bad spot now depending how you look at the situation.

**edit**

Another angle to look at this from is that Eddie Murphy had issues with SNL throwing dirt on him back in the day, so it's possible Eddie has some qualms about SNL to throwing dirt on someone that was huge for NBC back in the day as well.

**further edit**

I wonder what the other black SNL alums thought about that Cosby reference. I know Chris Rock has mentioned in the past he has issues talking about the allegations.
