What was the process?

-Ain't too many brothers out there doin graf work like that anymore...kinda doesn't fit who we are currently.

- Marvin Gaye's music doesn't fit either...should've kept the music consistent w/ the visual theme which I believe is more hip hop than old school soul classic.

-nobody celebrates eating or getting McDonalds like that...especially "urban graffiti writing" youth.

-McD lightweight just co-signed vandalism too

Wish it was an ad for something else but that's a diff post altogether...that has nothing to do with you work and more to do with my thoughts on McDs

McD's has been putting out these Calvin-esque commercials targeting the black community (with a "we don't mind that you're the criminal element" type sentiment) since the 80's. I believe they are deeply rooted in the community but has there ever been a commercial that finds a way to focus on the minority franchised McDs that are in "the community"?

The commercial was colorful, the sentiment was nice, but I don't attribute that level of positivity or community uplift to McDonalds. Largely because they put out these hoodtastic commercials year after year. There is (was) a high percentage of minority employment all the way up to the corporate level. Ronald McDonald House offers scholarships in the community to high school seniors, in addition to the Ronald McDonald houses built to house the families of sick children for free. They sponsor local sports teams. It would be nice to see how they are a part of the community instead of the minorities are shiftless goodhearted criminals, but we love them anyway.

No offense, but that disgusts me. Especially using a track from What's Going On. McDonalds stands for everything What's Going On stands against.

I wanna know who gave THAT the go-ahead? Whose cousin/gf/sister/wife was she? That commercial evokes a serious negative reaction anytime I hear it.
