i was rhyming right along w/ him (w/ the kids, watching), and i'd hit certain spots and me an nas saying different shit.

the rewrites were clever, but it got me to thinking how wild it was, because the whole subject matter of the song is kinda off limits.

'i'm like scarface flippin cocaine' <- HELL NOPE
'holdin the m-16' <- NOPE

i started thinking about it after the fact and was like, dayum. when you take out drugs, guns, liquor and cussing (and the cussing is actually kinda mild on that) there ain't a whole lot left but the hook, and the piano loop.
