I can't deal with that nonsense either, so when I say "excuse me" my hand is already on that person's back/shoulder. Everything seems to go much smoother after that. Unfortunately I can't use that tactic on old Asian & Spanish women.
No bs I let somebody slide with this earlier (at Whole Foods too), and paid the price. Buffalo Wing Sauce was on sale and these white dudes were having a conversation right in front of the display. I maneuvered around them awkwardly and hit my head on one of the small sale signs. I don't want to go around Deebo'ing cats, but the entitlement levels can be off the chain, especially at places like Whole Foods.
