It's just the celeb newscycle is much more glaring with the rise of TMZ and numerous other internet blogs/gossip sites.


Somehow the celebrated narcasstic asshole rockstar became a dinosaur. We had trashy superstar celeb couples like Tommy Lee or Pamela Anderson, Oasis’s Gallaghers brothers went in on completion of all stripes in ways that would give Kanye pause, and even Kurt Cobain found time to unfairly (and hypocritically) shit on other popular bands from his holier then thou perch.

Id also argue that it irks us more because its one of our own doing it, and for greater White America its an example of 'never shouldda gave you n-words money' bad behavior.
