One sunny Sunday. Church folk standin in line to get buffeted up. The front doors flew open and a small waitress came in hot.
Not attractive, fast.

Maybe 20 steps behind her was an enormous Black woman. Tall and hefty. She closed the gap in seconds and grabbed chick by the hair. Slammed her on her tuchus and dragged her on the tile floor. Like a mother with a teenage daughter, she clocked her open hand to punctuate her statements.

"Don't you --Pow-- ever put your --pop-- hand on me, girl..."

Stunned silence from the gathered informal parish. One lady way in the back cried "Jeeeeeeezaaahsss..." and my dad started laughin. The manager told the girl to get her stuff and go home.


Turns out, my mom knew Rasputia and asked her at work later in the week what happened. Allegedly, this girl was unsatisfied with her tip and followed this woman outside to throw it in her face. Problem was, she planned to just walk away after that, unharmed.
