12722566, a friend asked me to write a letter to his wife from him for vday
Posted by nayaa, Mon Feb-09-15 04:17 PM
said he'd pay me $200

i could do it with my eyes closed. maybe 15 mins.

but ...

that's wrong, right?

i need u to say no so i do it. that's vitamix money.
12722573, like to get out of it? or a romantic thing
Posted by labcoat, Mon Feb-09-15 04:19 PM
if it was a boss to relieve him so he can cheat
NOPE

but for someone who cant express themselves
sure
12722582, he could probably do it if he put his mind to it
Posted by nayaa, Mon Feb-09-15 04:22 PM
all started when he asked for suggestions on what to do

i suggested a heartfelt letter and some topic suggestions

and he's like "omg that's so great..i feel like u could write it for me ha ha."

and then got more serious bout his offer lol
12722596, you should just offer to edit it for him.
Posted by Deadzombie, Mon Feb-09-15 04:26 PM
12722625, editing is often more work than writing it yourself
Posted by nayaa, Mon Feb-09-15 04:40 PM
so i'd edit for $300
12722577, Ask for more money

12722586, what's wrong with asking someone to ghostwrite....
Posted by Benji, Mon Feb-09-15 04:23 PM
an eloquent letter?

Granted, I haven't done it since JHS, but if you're poetic & whatnot, why not?

12722594, why would the woman want a fake love letter?
Posted by Deadzombie, Mon Feb-09-15 04:26 PM
12722597, he was shocked that i told him it had to be handwritten lmao
Posted by nayaa, Mon Feb-09-15 04:27 PM
he's like "I haven't written anything in years."

this mfer was gonna send her an attachment smh
12722620, she wouldn't know
Posted by Benji, Mon Feb-09-15 04:37 PM
why should people love lyrics not written by the artists?

it's not fake per say
12722631, she'd know.

12722591, I'll do it if you won't. What's the exchange rate from CAD to USD?
Posted by 8-bit, Mon Feb-09-15 04:24 PM
12722602, CAD in the shitter right now =/
Posted by nayaa, Mon Feb-09-15 04:28 PM

12722634, oh. i'd be amazing at it. maybe a new hustle. hmm.

12722657, that film was the first thing i thought of
Posted by blackrussian, Mon Feb-09-15 05:09 PM
and while i'd probably suggest to do it as a favour for your friend, or at a much lower price, it would def be a great side hustle.
12722628, Watch out Cyrano, next thing you know you fall in love with his wife
Posted by Buddy_Gilapagos, Mon Feb-09-15 04:43 PM
and she falls in love with you when she finds out you wrote the letters and then you got a whole nother problem on your hands.

12722629, what happened to your friend who wanted to

write that letter to his ex-girlfriend?

And about this letter, sit with him and ask him to share his feelings for her to you. You'll get your inspiration from him directly and just make it sound nice. It'll still be authentic.

But he has to write it. You can put it into words and he can copy it.

12722632, he sent it and she responded with "i'm sorry" and thassit =/
Posted by nayaa, Mon Feb-09-15 04:45 PM
and he was very, very angry.

then he got mad at me for not being as surprised by her non-response as he was

smh
12722639, He didn't read the thread here first?
Posted by 8-bit, Mon Feb-09-15 04:50 PM
It seemed like 3/4s of us were saying he'll regret sending that letter over. lol, I'd forgotten all about that post.
12722635, I'd do it. The little white lie will help their relationship
Posted by Sepia., Mon Feb-09-15 04:48 PM
so not only am I helping him with V-day plans, but I'm also helping strengthen their relationship.

lol. Seriously though, I'd probably do it.
12722640, i think what's bothering me is how flippant he was about it
Posted by nayaa, Mon Feb-09-15 04:51 PM
like "oh that's a great idea..wanna do it for me? or maybe i'll just send flowers, fuck it"

i'd feel a little less icky bout it if he was truly struggling to write this letter

but he was on some "iont even know if i wanna do something this valentine's day..but yeah if u wanna do it i'd def pay u"
12722646, Yeah, that is icky.
Posted by Sepia., Mon Feb-09-15 04:56 PM
But if you have him tell you how he feels so you can write it down, all the
mushy stuff should come out and make your job easier and his attitude better.

Or maybe he won't know what to tell you, and you can tell him to just get her flowers and a nice bracelet.
12722648, how is that wrong when people buy Hallmark Cards every V Day?
