What did they show about their travels. I didn't realize they weren't in Georgia until they just said they're 100 mi. from DC.

He and Beth were gonna go there. So... they kinda decided to go there in hopes it'd still be standing and to "honor" Beth. It was of course desolate and zombified. It was in Richmond.

lets all just leave & go to richmond for this new guy?

I did hear this half of the season would be completely different. But this can't be the new tone.

which explains why the feel of it was so different than al the other episodes. much of it felt like a weird fever dream

I dont hate him , but like 4 people died for his ass already

I appreciated the artsy-ness of the episode a little more the second time around.

Not much happened, but the circular nature of the episode, the misdirection, and the underlying themes are more obvious the second time around, and I actually ended up liking it more.

Not much build up, didn't seem like a "necessary" death. It would have been slightly more interesting if he "gave up" before he got bit.

the show had to arrange for the actors for the previously dead characters to pop up again, so some level of planning was involved with killing Tyrese off. Not saying I agree with him dying, but I don't think it was out of a place of being vindictive.

They spent time considering that gated community but seems to me that any well built high rise building would be a safe place to set up camp.

Other jails.

Schools.

I feel like their would be tons of places that are fortified and livable.

I think I may have read a story that had them doing this for a while.

The boat would need a lot of maintenance so you don't have someone skilled in that you're screwed after awhile.

Like I am dreading something really bad is going to happen to a character I care about.

I had just started caring about Everyone hates Chris and I was sure all the characters were in the clear when Mullet showed up to save the day. SMH.

At this point I can live with them killing Rick off but Glenn, Maggie, Carol.

They also managed to make the third safe haven they've showed up at interesting and non-repetitive because while it's clear that it's not a trap it is also pretty clear they are foreshadowing the gang F'ing up a pretty good thing those people got going.

Good stuff season 5.
