Posted by Hitokiri, Thu Feb-05-15 10:43 AM
9 days away and I got nothing.
This is the first vd for her and i and i asked a few weeks ago if we could skip it. I don't like vd. At all.
She was not going for it. At all.
So... I'm supposed to be figuring something out.

What ya'll got?

12722686, Is is strange that we are going on a double date for VD?
Posted by Buddy_Gilapagos, Mon Feb-09-15 05:51 PM
Did it last year it was fun. Now it seems like a pattern is forming. For the record, I think it's stranger for the other couple because they are newlyweds.

they were just duds :/

i would like one, one day. lol
honestly this one could have come close for me
but work kinda kills it
12722711, i basically don't believe in the day
Posted by blackrussian, Mon Feb-09-15 06:13 PM
but maybe it's not as big a deal over here? although i think it has become bigger in recent years. don't recall my parents really celebrating it, maybe a card at most.
12722716, i believe in it. i like romance

i can't say i dated a particularly amorous guy
theyve definitely pulled off some sweet things
but when you look at them over the course of the entire relationship. they barely average to once a year if at all. so for them to 'not believe' was laughable because it's not like they were showing love like that other times

and it would have meant a lot if they even tried to be thoughtful. i'm not a luxurious person. its not like i want or need a grand gesture. just a thoughtful one. and many cost nothing.
12722736, amen to that

We just moved out to L.A. this past December and this is our first Valentine's Day being engaged so I wanted to do something memorable. Last year we just exchanged gifts and cards but I had a show that night that kept me in Brooklyn until 3-4AM. Going to make sure I devote all day/night to her this year. ^_^

you guys can cook it together...i think that's romantic and you can have fun following the recipe...plus it's only $24.. get some wine and dessert and some slow jams and slow dance in your living room. i don't think valentine's day should be expensive...it should be corny and fun loving.
