there was this very quiet and unusual lady who worked for the company for 25 years. we didn't hear from her for a few days, and we learned from her family she passed away. it was all very private if not secretive. despite working for nearly 3 years together we may have never spoken to each other, but i was used to seeing her around and was always curious about her. after she passed away, i became the strangest person i know, which has felt even stranger.
