KB's Alley is an extended portion of 9th Wonder.

12699431, I was HELLA disappointed that this wasn't the album version
Posted by Boogie Stimuli, Thu Jan-15-15 08:31 AM
Came in here to give this an honorable mention.
Even though I already had the album, I saw the video and was like "How I overlook this???"
Went back, and.... :(
It was my favorite song of theirs until Blowout Comb came out and crushed everything.
12699851, reminds me of the Nappy Heads remix
Posted by legsdiamond, Thu Jan-15-15 01:22 PM
I thought it was the original. I was pissed when I ran out and bought the album.
12700098, Too many...Best Production of that era!!!
Posted by Khalil19, Thu Jan-15-15 04:14 PM
I'll say "Dog It"....

It's one of the few albums I can listen to from start to finish without skipping tracks.

You don't impress me!!

RIP Reggie...I love you!! http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb449/Mynewstuff2011/RegLover.jpg

Yeah....almost forgot about that one. Another one of my favorites. It was a strong opener for a great album. This post is taking me back.
12699474, one of the best introductions ever....
Posted by legsdiamond, Thu Jan-15-15 09:47 AM
I loved how they overlapped each others "good to be here" to start each flow.
12698998, Nickel Bag of Funk
Posted by Atillah Moor, Wed Jan-14-15 04:08 PM
But I'll take "Rebirth of Slick" aka "Cool Like That"

12699008, Of the choices given, I'll go with "9th Wonder"
Posted by Marbles, Wed Jan-14-15 04:18 PM

I always like "Pacifics" off "Reachin'..." and "Graffiti" off "Blowout Comb."

They had a helluva 1-2 punch with those 2 albums, IMO.
12699013, I second the vote for Pacifics
Posted by Mack, Wed Jan-14-15 04:21 PM
but, yeah, out of the choices available, 9th Wonder
12699016, The Art of Easing is my shit...
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Jan-14-15 04:23 PM
12699208, This and Pacifics.
Posted by Sepia., Wed Jan-14-15 07:56 PM
Man, there are so many good ones!
12699445, that debut album was everything...
Posted by legsdiamond, Thu Jan-15-15 08:54 AM
I bought that album and walked all through Brooklyn and Manhattan that summer.

Years later we brought Doodlebug to Richmond and I used to bump into him all the time at Black Lilly and other spots around Philly.

12699020, Off that list, Dog It
Posted by Nick Has a Problem...Seriously, Wed Jan-14-15 04:26 PM
but I dig "Black Ego", "Jettin" and "The Art of Easing" a lot too

It is so criminally slept on that it's not even funny....

The production on that album is EPIC...

Posted by deehustle, Wed Jan-14-15 05:05 PM
viable stuff, but for me Black Ego, Swoon units and Flying High in the Brooklyn Sky made me love Digable Planets.
12699078, "Dog It" and "Where I'm From (Remix)" tie for no. 1

Great post. Was just playing some DP the other day.
12699288, Did Doodlebug ever have the best verse on a song?
Posted by Nick Has a Problem...Seriously, Wed Jan-14-15 10:06 PM
Dude wasn't wack but he was kinda just there. Ish and Mecca just had that vibe. Ish still got it with Shabazz Palaces.
12699842, :-(
Posted by Sepia., Thu Jan-15-15 01:18 PM
I don't think so, but he kind of rounded it out in a way. I never skipped his verses.
12699950, he was pras before pras.

12699984, RE: he was pras before pras.

lol he wasn't that bad now. Pras used to get half a verse. At least Doodle got to get his off most times.

of course...Rap Genius has fcked up the game though....

12699547, I just came here to say that....
Posted by jdevolve1, Thu Jan-15-15 10:44 AM
Blowout Comb may be the most criminally underappreciated, slept on, whatever the fuck you wanna call it Hip Hop album ever......
12699850, only issue is the volume of the vocals...
Posted by legsdiamond, Thu Jan-15-15 01:22 PM
they were criminally low.

I wonder if this was done on purpose..
12717630, MAN! The ONLY flaw in the album.

Posted by -DJ R-Tistic-, Tue Feb-03-15 05:24 PM
That baseline build up??? The drums drop and just breathe? The the horns??? Then that super catchy ass hook?

I figure it just got overplayed, and it's on some "if you're a real fan, that's not your favorite song" type thing.
