There is the occasional instance of it actually demeaning someone, and few things disgust me more than meanness, but the vast majority of the time, I'd have to be dense to believe the negative reaction is anything more than a combo of opportunity/duty. Far from genuine, but I play along because its not even part of my vocabulary anyway.
Emporer has no clothes, but I can compliment the fabric. No problem.
Yall and I both know its just a cheap leverage game at this point, with the occasional golden ticket beat-up pass to boot.
