not the general public outside of florida but very well known within the black lawyer circuit
i used to design for the National Bar Associations annual convention and he was consistently listed as one of the top lawyers under 40
his firm was already very well known in florida hence why the martin family looked to him/his firm for the case
that case just skyrocketed him into the national profile and obviously makes him a likely choice for other families going through similar situations
basically he didn't just come out of nowhere
