straight sad
in grad school taking courses with people who have 10+ years working in agencies that are supposed to HELP PEOPLE
just NOW learning in grad school about redlining and steering. mofos working in housing.
a woman straight up came to class like she just saw Roots like "I HAD NO IDEA!!!!".
changing a law doesn't mean the effects are immediatly reversed
and for people who don't think the above still doesn't exist, the president is in Arizona right now speaking about how they fined/settled fair housing complaints last year to an amount that exceeds the past 23 years COMBINED
i think pharrell and jay are great examples that should be held but to act like skin color isn't still an issue is irresponsible. at least in the way being presented by pharrell.
