it's obvious at this point that he was irrationally committed to preserving the image of every character
even if it impeded on the lifestyles/career moves of the actors
can't say it didn't work
cosby show is/was probably the pinnacle of the modern american family ideal
and some people seemingly are having trouble separating bill cosby from cliff huxtable so.......

that being said it seems creepy in light of recent developments
