lmao and how many have u been to? are they all over hot 97? obviously not. but you're stretching this to be way more polar than it is. i did hear about the roots right around 96 through a college funk station. and who did i see at the show? none other than rick james! there is no black attendee of a concert, anywhere, ever.

yeah but they are a hip hop band. this isn't like talking about zach de la rocha (or worse), i mean thought is definitely an emcee. and i dont consider mass appeal to be a big plus, i'd say of my top ten some have it and some don't. that's true of most people, i think.

skipping past this goalpost-moving shit about demographics (and the laughable notion that hip hip is an "under 25" thing in 2015), uh, i dunno man the roots have only had TWO consistent members. thought has rocked with a lot of different personnel. that point was extremely unconvincing.
