i be reflecting on the principles but i've never formally celebrating kwanzaa.
this lil snippet of a song ALONE has made me want to celebrate

we brought homemade fried chicken wrapped in Kinte cloth.
we sang "lift every voice and sing" and lit the candles.

there was not a single perm in the room and the Pan African flag was up.
I even brought handmade gifts for the family who hosted. Oh it was great!

most black folks i know acknowledge kwanzaa but don't actively celebrate it
