This is really naive, and I'm not saying him being gay was even close to being the primary reason but to say it has NOTHING to do with it doesn't recognize reality. There are still plenty of str8 men who don't feel comfortable being around gay men, let alone sharing a locker room with them. when u think about team chemistry versus what a player is bringing to the team on the field, teams are constantly looking at pros and cons. Look at the Redskins and Browns this season and the convos are rgIII, josh Gordon and Percy harvin getting bounced from the Seahawks or front offices feeling like certain players are too much of a distraction

He'd still have a spot but some teams wouldn't want to deal with an openly gay player, for various reasons. I mean just about two years ago Chris culliver was making his feelings known about having a gay teammate on a national platform
