12685260, Meadow Question Posted by Meadow, Sat Dec-27-14 05:46 PM
My job has been preparing legal files to be closed for the past month or so.
My current boss keeps saying that he'd like to do something with his client list, like give it to someone interested in starting their own practice or put the information in a format someone could use.
Is that my cue to volunteer myself for this list/information? (I hesitate because prior to this job I had no experience in this particular legal field so I did not imagine that I was the person he had in mind.) What would you do in this situation?

Toss out a jokey feeler 2 see if legit
Followed by a real talk on the skills/tasks involved

to develop the outline of a coherent business plan that uses the client list ask during a one-on-one meeting if your boss has time to discuss pretend that this is something you've always wanted to do since you've discovered this field but have been looking for this opportunity, a mentor like your boss to go out on your own gauge reaction and proceed!
sounds like an amazing opportunity!

Was already thinking about this.

There isnt room to pretend. He already knows my chosen field but I'm realizing that it isn't the kind of law that will help me meet my financial goals and is more policy oriented.
My bosses' possible offering is appealing because it will allow me to qucikly start running my own practice. Just on the fence about whether this opportunity for me.
