I purchase the new D'Angelo cd a few days before Xmas. I play it in my computer and the track listing comes up as, "Unknown Artist" on one of my computers and on my other pc it comes up as, "Diane Zeigler" and the track listing displays songs on her cd & her pic. The D'Angelo cd plays just fine and I am not taking it back for an exchange, I bought it from Target, totally sealed in mint condition...
I don't understand this??? The last cd that I bought was MJ's "Xcape" and the listings and photo displays just fine with all of the songs on the cd...
Tell me, is this some new shit that is going on when you buy music cd's now??? Has anybody else here had this same problem with D's new cd or any other cd(s) that you have purchased recently??? I know they don't make anything these days like they used to but, Damn :o :o :o !!!

More than likely the database hasn't been updated with the info for D'Angelo's new album. I'm sure in a few weeks the info will be there.

Nothing new that they are doing with CDs. When an album drops unannounced like D'Angelo's latest, it'll take a while for some media players to get the information in their database. Which music player are you using? Sounds like a windows media player issue

I guess the computer that shows, "Unknown Artist" is easier for me to deal with than the one that shows the woman's picture and listings. I don't know her ass!!! I hope it updates soon, thanks for giving me a logical explanation :-) :-) :-) !!!

I don't what you are talking about either...Am I missing something here??? I have never purchased a cd that displays info on my computer like this one??? I am just curious as to whether or not this has happened to anybody else or is it a factory defect please???

don't put cd in the microwave kids... mkay!!!
hey just right click on the artist info and type in D'angelo
the on album title type in Black Messiah
the computer may pick up the rest
what are you using to play it.. is it itunes...or windows?
do you have an internet connection?

can't you click on the CD and select "find album info" or something? most media players have that feature
