Come and share your blues...vent, gripe, and complain. And I'll post something to make you smile.

Lol. I didn't know that was a "thing" with pink eye cause they kept asking me that at work. And the funny thing is everyone at my job kept saying, no you don't have pink eye girl. Lol. I told my doctor that yesterday and he laughed because he said, why did they think something was wrong? Because your eye was pink?

That is the last time I listen to other people instead of just going to the doctor. I went 2 days suffering and possibly spreading the sickness because I didn't know what it was and listened to my coworkers who told me I couldn't possibly have pink eye.

Now I see why okp tells me to go to the doctor if I have any concerns about anything. Who knew yall gave such great advice and didn't try to self diagnose people?

I'm taking my son at 230pm to the pediatrician to make sure he doesn't have it, and to ask some other very important questions I've been putting off.

i remember you asking about your kid
and his development
people told you to talk to his pediatrician

i figured that you did that by now

you wrote that while
you are at his doctor,
you would ask him/her things that you have been putting off

i ASSumed you meant
the development part
and was disappointed in your decision making

i think that you need support system
when it comes to some stuff
and stop coming to okp
with questions

because even my usual nice/ open minded behind
is throwing you the side eye

i say this with love (c) michael jackson
12683403, when did I put off doctors visits for my kid?
Posted by godleeluv, Tue Dec-23-14 01:34 PM
The firat thing I did when I found out I had pink eye was make an appointment for my child.
♥♥Church Diva♥♥
12683409, you didn't, I misread.
Posted by legsdiamond, Tue Dec-23-14 01:38 PM
but you shouldn't hold off on asking questions when seeing the doctor.
12683413, believe me I wont. all the things I said here on okp
Posted by godleeluv, Tue Dec-23-14 01:40 PM
Will be asked at his appointment and more.

both eyes...

that shit sucks if you do.
12683407, I stated above that I just used my last pair of lenses
Posted by godleeluv, Tue Dec-23-14 01:38 PM
So I have to wear glasses for a while. And I do have pink eye in both eyes. And yes it sucks. I've been laying down all morning because I am trying to get better. But I have to take my son, drive my son, to the doctor in about an hour to make sure he doesn't have it.

12683346, I had that last year.

Treat it with tea bags. It really helps
12683410, tea bags huh? they gave me eye ointment
Posted by godleeluv, Tue Dec-23-14 01:39 PM
It is really greasy but it is helping a lot. Tell me more about the tea bags, I may add that to my treatment.

12683457, it's much easier if your SO does it while you lay back on the bed
Posted by legsdiamond, Tue Dec-23-14 02:15 PM
12683508, Make some tea, pull the bag out and rest it on your eye.
Posted by Ryan M, Tue Dec-23-14 03:22 PM
Not right away, when it's cool enough so that it doesn't hurt you. Could be placebo, could be just a heat compress but it really brings down the swelling and supposedly helps cure it faster.

I used the medication they gave me and I ended up getting it in both eyes. It's the worrrrst. I got it from a plane I think, I'd flown a couple days prior.
12684534, google says use black tea bags

12683451, If the pinkeye is from an allergic reaction
Posted by Garhart Poppwell, Tue Dec-23-14 02:08 PM
or from irritation to your eyes, it's not communicable. It goes away faster than viral pinkeye too, so hopefully this is what you're dealing with.
12684383, Currently dealing w/ a severe gout flare up
Posted by TRENDone, Wed Dec-24-14 11:20 PM
In my left knee. I've been on bed rest since yesterday. No Xmas parties, shopping, grubbing, no Lyfting...I'm fucking miserable. I can't even play with my baby nephews cuz they might ram into my knee somehow. I'm giving up fast food & soda in 2015.
12684492, dude that sounds horrible
Posted by makaveli, Thu Dec-25-14 01:14 PM
get better soon.
12684610, Thanks man
Posted by TRENDone, Thu Dec-25-14 10:15 PM
I went to the Raider/49er game Dec. 7, ate a hot link, some chips/dip, and 3 beers. No gout.

I think it's the fast food that got me. I started feeling it last Tuesday. Wednesday before that I won a $25 gift card to McDonalds at a White Elephant & finished it by the weekend (2 cheeseburger meal is my fav) along w/ In-N-Out & some Mexican food. But no seafood, no organ meat.
12684501, Ask your doctor about allopurinol.
Posted by murderbear, Thu Dec-25-14 02:06 PM
12684606, I take it daily
Posted by TRENDone, Thu Dec-25-14 10:10 PM
I have really bad gout. I don't even eat seafood & don't really drink much. I've had flare ups on both hands, both elbows, both knees, both feet.

I've had it on both feet at one time but nothing is worse as gout on your knee, largest joint in all the extremeties. I can't keep it straight or bend it. My back, right leg, and back is sore from simply hobbling to the bathroom. Even when I'm laying down on my bed I'm in discomfort. But I've experienced it on my knee before...but not during Christmas!

2015 Resolution: no more gout!
12684623, Mine must be mild then
Posted by murderbear, Thu Dec-25-14 10:48 PM
Just get it in my big toe.

Used to take colchris (sp) for flare ups til I switched to allo, haven't had a flareup since.

I wish it on no man
