12682526, the girl TCU gave another child a concussion last week...
Posted by morpheme, Mon Dec-22-14 02:46 PM
apparently she was being teased for not having a place to live {they still don't}
and the other little girl became embroiled in it
and the girl TCU pushed the child down and she hit her head and the ambulance was called.

from what i understand she had an in school suspension {which i find utter bullshit}
but you can best believe they have a social worker all in her shit.
12682534, remind me...what does TCU stand for? Also, ambulance called = lucky....

she didn't get expelled.

you'd think on that level she'd be at home with her parents a couple days.
she's volatile.
12682543, what would have been appropriate in your opinion?

how old are these kids?
12682562, the girl is 8...

don't know the age of the other child.

she should have been out of school.
you operating on that level your parents should be assessing your needs on a personal level.
12682570, my sister is a school SW and she says home suspensions are disappearing

Parents come in more upset that the kid is being punished than they are for the kid's misbehavior

So then those parents turn suspension time into vacation days, sending the msg to the kid that they didnt do anything wrong in the first place

Now me, if i had been suspended from school as a child i would have PRAYED for an in school suspension because a day at home would have been SO very unpleasant. Not the case for a lot of kids today.
12682600, so very very true.

12682595, what did she do wrong?
Posted by legsdiamond, Mon Dec-22-14 03:22 PM
someone teases me about being homeless best believe its going to get physical if they make a day of it.

I could see if she hit the kid with a brick but a push ain't that serious. More than likely it was a stfu push and the other kid has no idea how to break a fall.

I bet she STFU about that little girls situation.

12682604, they don't play that shit out here.
Posted by morpheme, Mon Dec-22-14 03:27 PM
i ain't saying you wrong
but personally?
i wouldn't want these motherfuckers poking around my biz whatsoever.
12682606, I bet she wont tease her again

12682678, slammable little girl shoulda kept her mouth shut

>and the girl TCU pushed the child down and she hit her head

A push? She's suspended for a push? Not a punch or kick? lol. A push is like the gentlest attack you can do to someone and still call it an attack.

Edit: It's fucked up that the little girl got a concussion, but how is it that she doesn't even know how to take a fall? She never learned to tuck and roll? Protect her head? People (kids) like this need to recognize their lane and stay in it.
12682742, how many girls have you seen who knew how to take a fall?

12682695, y'all missing it...
Posted by morpheme, Mon Dec-22-14 05:00 PM
this isn't about the girl no longer being fucked with.
this is about the fucking state getting all up in your shit because someone labeled your child incorrigible or borderline, whatever.
this ain't the motherfucking 90s some shit.
game been done changed.
don't let that hood shit fool you.
12682841, or perhaps the SW can help them find housing.

they got resources to help people.
12682876, doubtful. not THAT one at the school anyways.

School social workers are relatively constrained to their own arena

She would have to kick it up to family services or whatever the equivalent is, and at that point they would be mired in bureaucracy.

Its pretty sad. Some of the stories my sister tells me would have you looking to relocate to a different quadrant of the galaxy, because the "system" is fubar.
12682825, do you live in a low-income apartment complex?

seems like it ALWAYS be drama there
