The point is that the media portrayal of black/brown folks is that they're criminals before anything else. White people do not face that same standard. They were always "good people" "no one saw this coming" and "we don't know where it came from."

We are seen as criminals before ANYTHING else. Before being sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, good students, community members, we're just "killers." The pictures, like the one that was posted above, just reinforce this idea.
